Take the Skinheads Bowling
I saw three skinheads today. I've never seen skinheads in this country before. It was bizarre. They just walked down the street... looking like totally normal guys with shaved heads, doc martins, suspenders, and swastika tattoos. The first thing I thought when I saw them was "Those can't be... are they filming a movie about skinheads?" The second thing I thought was "How do these guys manage to walk around a major city like that and NOT get their asses kicked?" Also high on my list of thoughts: How do these people get jobs? Seriously... who would hire them? You can wear a suit to the interview, but your head is still shaved and you've still got that "aryan brotherhood" tattoo poking out of your collar.
It's unbelievable to think that people like that still exist.

I have seen skinheads down in Zion National Park in UT before and found it similarily puzzling that these people still exist in the US! They actually tried to start a whites-only homeland in the park. Halfway down the page in this link are some comments about it.

did you see the daily show earlier this week? i can't remember if it was stephen colbert or ed helms, but one of them dressed up like hitler and walked down the street talking to people. most people treated him pretty vile-y, which is probably what i would have done if he'd approached me. then he raised his arm and "hailed" a taxi. one of those so-fucked-up-it's-funny moments. i can't believe he didn't get shot or punched. probably just because he had a camera following him.
How old were they? What kind of neighborhood was that bowling alley in?

They looked like they were in their late teens. The neighborhood they were wasn't exactly lily-white. It was a street with a lot of bars and restaurants on it.
